Last week, my girlfriend, three friends of mine and I, we started a sevend days tour of Sri Lanka through the agency mysrilankatravel. We have been given their contacts by a friend of ours who did the same tour in 2023, telling us avout that wonderful experience and claiming she really loved her guide attitude and spending time with him.So, beginning january, we got in touch with mr. Sugath Gamini, the owner, to plan our tour. He was really nice since he considered all our exhigences, modifying the tour according to our exhigences in terms of experiences and hotels as well.Once arrived in Sri Lanka, our local guide, Mr Amila, a wonderful guy, immediately broke the ice making us feel comfortable at anytime. He was available for any request, even when we asked to add some experience or non scheduled stops during the trip just to enjoy the beauties of Sri Lanka magical landscape.Additionally, when we were supposed to take the train from Nanu-oya to Ella, since there was a big problem on the rail-way and there was a delay of 3 hours, Amila did not only propose an alternative experience for the afternoon but he even managed to get money refound!Concerning the proposed experiences and visits, exploring Minneriya National park to observe elephants and Yala park to stare at leopards, bulls and peacoks have been the highest moments of entire holiday. Visit Kandy sacred city and its temples, walking in the Royal botanical garden and witness how spices are cultivated and later used have been extremely interesting moments.Nevertheless, having the chance to feed, wash and hug elephants is something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.Last but not least, we had the chance to spend one day in Mirissa, at the sea, just to relax ourselves at the end of the week. We contacted My Sri Lanka Travel to organize an 11-day trip with car, hotel (HB), and all entrance tickets encuded. We plan a trip suitable for our family’s needs (3 adults and a 10-year-old girl) with the help of Mr. Gama. The assigned driver, Mr. Sandaruwan (friendly Sanda), proved to be a qualified tour guide and a constantly attentive companion to our well-being. He was always present, even before we landed, always available for any request or change of plans — for example, an additional or modified stop, a photo break, a city tour not in the program — and always ready to help us, such as searching for and purchasing things we needed. The van was spacious, comfortable, and always clean, with individually adjustable air conditioning and water always available. Travelling 2 hours by car from Unawatuna to Colombo turned in to 6 hours when our child got sick. Sanda, ourdriver from MySriLankaTravel, insisted on getting medical help and went with us everywhere and helped us to the doctor, a hospital and our destination hotel. He went out of his way to help us, he translated everything happening and he showed real care for us in a difficult situation. After the trip he has continued to send us messages to ask how we are doing.
